H.E.A.T.
H.E.A.T. will be hosting a volleyball tournament, Saturday, May 15th, at the Coles Crossing Rec Center. The tournament will raise money for a primate sanctuary in San Antonio. If you plan to be the team captain for your team, please attend the H,.E.A.T. meeting next Thursday, in the teaching theatre after school with names of your team.

•Seniors, are you attending Lone Star College in the fall? The Cy-Fair Education Foundation is offering a $1,500 scholarship to graduating seniors of C.F.I.S.D. Award can be used at any LSC campus. The deadline to submit your application and supporting documents is May 12th.
•The Horatio Alger Technical Foundation will award (512) $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are planning to study computer science or other related field. The deadline to apply is June 1st.
•The Chevron Corporation Scholarship is available to graduating seniors who plan to major in STEM. The deadline to apply for this $5,000 scholarship is Monday, May 2nd.
•The Get Girls Golfing scholarship is open to female high school seniors who plays golf competitively now, and who will also play their freshman year in college. The award is $1,500 and your application deadline is May 15th.

•The University of Arkansas will be here today during all lunches. Wildcats, this is your opportunity to get first-hand information about the college admissions process, test requirements, and how universities make their decisions about who gets admitted to their school.
•Attention Senior Women. The BHW Group is offering a $3,000 scholarship to graduating senior females who are pursuing a degree in a STEM related field. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 15th.

•The Italian Cultural & Community Center of Houston is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who is of Italian descent. The deadline to apply is April 15th.
•The Herbert Lehman Education Fund scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors. The emphasis is academics, leadership and community service. The deadline to apply for this $8,000 scholarship is April 25th.
•The AZETCA Scholarship Foundation is offering several scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are Chicano, Mexicano or, Raza descent. The deadline to apply is April 26th.

Desired applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher, an intent to study computer science and have been accepted to an accredited college or university within the US. •The Don’t Mess With Texas Scholarship campaign will award (1) $6,000 and (2) $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school senior who has taken a leadership role to prevent litter in their school and/or community. The deadline to submit your online application is March 25th.

MSA will be hosting a drive for Syria all this week! We are accepting many different items such as gently used winter clothing, which can include gloves and hats! We are also collecting toiletry item such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and shampoo. Boxes will be placed throughout the school, so please help us out by donating an item or two to those who are less fortunate than us-they really need our help!
