From September 26th through October 2nd, Libraries across the world recognize Banned Books Week which celebrates the freedom to read. This year's theme is "Books Unite Us". Sharing stories important to us means sharing a part of ourselves. Books reach across boundaries and build connections between readers. Censorship, on the other hand, divides us and creates barriers. Stop by the Library this week to see our display and have conversations about the books that some have tried to censor.
