Pearl Harbor Remembered

Today marks the 78th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was on this day, December 7th in 1941, that the Japanese Navy began bombing Pearl Harbor at 7:55 am, resulting in the deaths of 2,403 military personnel, 68 civilians, and wounding 1,178. In addition, 19 US Navy ships were destroyed, including eight battleships. On December 8th, 1941, President Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt and the 77th Congress of the United States declared war on the Axis Powers.
