Today, Wednesday, November 11th marks our nation’s one hundred and first Veteran’s
Day. While it was originally called Armistice Day back in 1919 to mark the end of World War
One, Congress later passed a resolution making it a national holiday to be observed by all
Americans for years to come. This year we would like to honor not only those who served
decades past, but those who have fought in our most recent battles. May the Airmen fly high, the
Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen swim strong, and the Soldiers continue marching on as
we observe this day, and the many more that will follow.
