Girl's Soccer

Girls soccer celebrated their seniors Tuesday night in true 212 fashion pulverizing Park 8 goals to one.  WE LOVE YOU SENIORS!!

These Cats have 3 games to go in the regular season.  On Friday they head to Cy Springs where they look to keep their winning ways rolling.  Go Soccer!!


The Lady Wildcats JV soccer team continued their winning ways by beating Park 4-1 Tuesday night.  Come and support these ladies as they start their last 3 games of the season on Friday against Cy Springs.

Stephen F Austin

Wildcats, a representative from Stephen F. Austin State University will be at all lunches today. Seniors, this is a good time to ask questions about housing and freshman orientation if you have already been accepted to SFA.  Be sure to stop by and get your questions answered today!

Wildcats, dual credit registration is happening now for next school year.  Once you have your Lone Star College ID number, stop in the counceling office to get registered.  Don't delay!

Business Information Management

Great news from Business Information Management:

Cy Woods had the first student earn a Master Certification on the Microsoft Office Specialist examinations.  He had to earn Core certifications in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and 2 Expert certifications in Word and Excel.

Cy Woods received the following awards from the One Act Play.

Cadettes

Saturday the Crimson Cadettes competed in the Crowd Pleasers Dance State Championship.  The Cadettes brought home many awards and state titles.

Wildcats brought home:

Soloists:
3rd runner up Junior
1st place Junior
2 senior solo Semi Finalists

A duet won 2nd runner up and a small ensemble of the senior officers received 1st place.

The Cadette social officers were named the state champion receiving 1st place.

The Cadette line officers got all 1st places on all 4 of their dances and were named the State grand champion for their size category.  The Cadette line officers were the highest scoring officer line of the whole contest and were also named the state overall grand champion officer group scoring higher than every other officer line attending the state competition no matter their size.

The Cadettes received 1st place in all of their routines entered and brought home 4 state champion titles as a team.  The Cadettes were also named the State grand champion for their size category.  The Cadettes had the 2nd highest scores of the whole contest wihich earned them the title of 2nd place overall state champion.

We are so proud of our state champion Crimson Cadettes.  Up next the Cadettes will be attending dance nationals towards the end of the month.  We wish them lots of continued success!

VASE

19 students competed at VASE and moved on to State.

Ladies Soccer

Your lady Wildcat varsity soccer team flooded Cy Lakes with goals on Friday winning 4-0!

These ladies are at home tomorrow as we honor our nine seniors for senior night.  Come out and show some love to these ladies who have done an amazing job representing Cy Woods these last four years!

Last week, your Lady Wildcat JV Soccer team won both games despite playing 3 opponents last week, Bridgeland, Lakes and the flu.  They won both games with a combined score of 7-1. 

Bowling

Sunday, the Varsity men's bowling team competed in the regional playoffs.  We also had 3 individual Wildcats compete in the regional singles.

Track

The JV girls competed at the Cy Creek JV Meet Thursday night.  They won 1st place overall scoring 250 pts, yep that's right 250 points!  The coaches are very proud of the way each of the girls competed and are looking forward to the next meet.

FFA Vet Med

The Cypress Woods FFA Vet Med Team participated in the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Contest and place FIRST out of 105 teams across the country.  Out of a total of 531 participants, Wildcats placed 4th, 6th and 8th.  We appreciate your hard work and dedication!

Softball

Varisty softball defeated Kempner Thursday night 14-2 and Anderson 18-2.  That puts their record at 7-1-2 on the season and 2-0 in district.

Cadettes

This past weekend the Cadettes had a very successful contest.  The Cadettes attended the South Houston regional held at Clear Springs HS and took home many awards.

We had Wildcats bring home:
Semi-Finalist - 3 girls
1st Place Junior solo
7th Runner Up
6th Runner Up
5th Runner Up
1st Runner Up

The social officers were awarded 2nd place

The line officers were named the 1st place grand champion officer line for their size along with the prestigious award of Overall Grand Champion officer line of the whole contest.

The Cadettes took 1st place in all four of their team dances.  They won awards for the highest scoring pom, jazz and lyrical of the whole contest.  The Cadettes were named Grand Champions for their size category.  They also won 1st and 2nd places for the highest scoring routines of the whole contest.  The Cadettes were then named the Overall Grand Champion Team of the entire contest outscoring every other high school dance team there.

The Cadettes will be competing in the Crowd Pleasers Dance State Championship held this Saturday at Cy Ranch.  Good luck Cadettes!

Dual Credit

Wildcats, the Dual Credit team is ready for you to register for your Dual Credit classes for next year.  Bring your Lone Star ID number to the counseling office and ask to speak with a Dual Credit Representative.  All paperwork is due April 24 with NO EXCEPTIONS.

JV Softball

Last night the JV softball team beat Langham Creek 8-0.  That brings their record to 1-1 on the year.

Softball

Varsity softball defeated Langham Creek Tuesday night 4-2.  That puts their record at 5-1-2 on the season and 2-0 in district.  The Pearland Tournament started yesterday.

Vet Science Team

On Monday, the Cypress Woods FFA Vet Science team competed at the Berry Center and placed FIRST!

We had a Wildcat place 2nd individual and 5th individual.

Floriculture placed 3rd overall and we had one Wildcat place 2nd individual.

Entomology placed 6th and Nursery Landscape placed 10th.

Java Cafe

Hey Wildcats, 212 Java is rescheduled for this Thursday the 27th starting at 6:45 am.  The Culinary Family has created awesome new menu items we are excited for you to try.  Including bacon mac and cheese cups, cinnamon roll bites, quesadillas and a new drink, mangonada.

There will be some returning menu items such as oreo truffles, philly cheese steak puffs, smoothies and wildcatachinos.

Can't wait to see you at Java on Thursday.

Track Team

Our JV girls competed at our home meet last week, the girls finished 1st overall scoring 135 points.  The Varsity girls track team competed at the Manvel-Dawson Invitational last Friday and finished with a close 3rd overall in some tough competition.  Both team competed at a high level and are continuing to progress as the season goes.  As Coaches, we are very proud of the effort that the girls are giving.  The varsity girls' next track meet will be at the Spartan Relays on Friday at Stafford High School.  Our JV girls will compete on Thursday at Cy Creek High School.  So come on out and support the wildcats track teams.  Go Wildcats!
