Visual Arts Department's 3rd Annual Student Art Auction

The Visual Arts Department will host its 3rd annual Student Art Auction on Friday, May 19th, from 6:30pm-8pm. There will be approximately 500 works of art for sale with minimum bids starting as low as $5! Refreshments will be available for bidders. Bidders must be present at the end of the auction to win. It will be a cash only event. Come check out and buy some amazing student art to help promote our Wildcat Artists! Friday, May 19th! Mark your calendars!

Late Arrival/Early Release

Attention Juniors: Late arrival/Early release forms are due NOW.They must be turned in to the counselors' office no later than May 24th. Attention Freshmen, Sophomore and Juniors: Any changes made to your Next Year Requested Courses form, must be turned into the Counselors' office no later than Wednesday, May 24th. There will be no elective changes after this day. Please see the counselors' office if you have not received your form.

Make Up Hours to Restore Credit// Excessive Absences

Wildcats! Reminder that you MUST make up the hours to restore credit lost due to excessive absences! Seniors! You may be in danger of not participating in graduation!! Juniors! You may lose EARLY RELEASE AND LATE ARRIVAL on your schedule! In addition, VOE forms will NOT be issued to students who have not recovered EA's! Any student who has NOT recovered credit for a course will have that course placed in their schedule again for next year!!! ALL FORMS THAT INCLUDE MAKE-UP HOURS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, 5/17/2017.

Exemption Card Distribution & Due Dates

Exemption Card Distribution & Due Dates for 9-12th grade, will be Monday & Tuesday, May 15 & 16th, during all lunches. Senior Exemption Cards to be turned in to the AP's office by the end of the school day on Wednesday, May 17. Grades 9-11 Exemption Cards, to be turned in to the AP's office by the end of the school day on Friday May 19th. Teachers will sign these cards on Tuesday, May 16. The only absences that DO NOT count against exemptions are College days for Juniors and Seniors (2-day maximum), and school sponsored field trips.

Cy-Wood's Choir's Pop Show

Make sure to come out and support our incredible choir program in their pop show, " a crazy little thing called love", May 12th and 13th! AP Psychology Exam

Attention all Junior and Seniors taking the AP Psychology EXAM on Monday May 1st. On Monday after third period, ALL testers will report to A Lunch. At the conclusion of A Lunch, you will then report to the main gym where you will be hanging out on the bleachers until 11:30am when you will be led to the testing area. The AP psychology test will conclude between 2:30 and 3:00pm that afternoon. Today after school, Mr. Porter will be holding another practice test session for FALL AP Psychology students to help you better identify what you need to study over the weekend. Good Luck!

Scholarship News

Seniors, are you attending Lone Star College in the fall? If so, the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation's online portal is now open for Schroeder Scholarship applications. Three $1500 scholarships are available. The award can be used at any LSC campus. Deadline to apply is Friday, May 12th. Stop by the scholarship office or check the hall bulletin for details! Exploring college options will be in the Houston area, May 15th, & 16th, for information sessions. Please visit www.exploringcollegeoptions.org for locations and times. Seniors, don't forget to request your final transcript. The"Blue Forms" are available thru your English teacher. Final transcripts will be sent the week after graduation! May 4th will be one of Life clubs, Cy-Woods gay-straight Alliance, last meetings. We will be talking about the future of the club and the officer positions that will be opening up. To become an officer, you are required to show up at the meeting after school in room 2316.

Pro Ticket Sales Deadline

Attention Seniors! The last day to purchase Prom tickets is Friday, April 28th. Go online to CFISD School Cash Online to purchase Prom tickets. Guest forms are available in the AP office. Prom is May 5th, from 8 PM-midnight at the Revention Music Center.
