Cy Woods is participating in Action for Apes' technology drive from now until April 28th! On Tuesdays and Thursdays every week during lunch.  Bring your old flip phones, ipods, mp3 players and broken cameras to our table! Scholarship News

·       Attention Seniors!  Wilson Elementary Student Council is offering a scholarship to anyone who attended their school.  Scholarship applications are available in the Registrar’s Office. The deadline to apply is April 3^rd.

·       The deadline to apply for the Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Scholarship is Monday.  If you have not already done so, please complete your application and submit your transcript request this week!

·       The SMU Lyle School of Engineering Undergraduate Recruitment Office is hosting the Women in Engineering Day Event this Sunday, March 1^st.  This is a fun and casual event for girls considering careers in the field of engineering. Join current female engineering students, professors, graduate students, and alumni, to learn more about the opportunities offered at the Lyle School of Engineering.  The event is open to juniors and seniors in high school.  Register online at: www.smu.edu/Lyle/Undergraduate/ProspectiveStudents/SpecialEvents.

 

·       The 2015 SWAC College Expo will be at the Toyota Center March 11^th and 12^th. Recruiters, admission counselors and alumni from all SWAC member schools, will be present. Seniors are asked to bring copies of their “unofficial” high school transcript and standardized test scores to be eligible for consideration. This event is open to the Graduating Class of 2015!

Cy Woods Senate/Recycling Drive

Cy Woods Senate will be recycling used or non working electronic devices beginning next week. Our recycling drive, to benefit Action for Apes, will run through mid April and is part of a city-wide effort coordinated by the Houston Zoo.  Any device may be brought in for recycling.  Round up your old broken electronic players, games, and phones to donate for a worthy cause.

The March Scholarship Bulletin is ready! Some scholarships are due over Spring Break. Please submit your transcript requests early! Copies are available in the receptionist area, counselor and registrar offices.

Seniors, the Cy-Fair Credit Union Scholarship application deadline is Feb. 25th. This is your  opportunity to receive one of seven $1,000 scholarships awarded to graduating seniors of Cy-Fair ISD. Membership to Cy-Fair Credit Union is NOT a requirement.
