ComedySportz

Do you enjoy improv?  Are you great at thinking on your feet?  Are you the puniest person you know?  Then come try out for the Comedy Sportz team here at Cypress Woods High School.  Compedysportz is your chance to participate in an audience interactive improv match that competes against other jokers and schools!  Come tryout for our ComedySportz team this Friday, September 3rd from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 1803!  Visit our website cwtc.weebly.com, for more information and we will see you there!

Wrestling

All students! Boys and girls!

Wrestling practice has officially started!

If you are interested in joining the team you can find Coach Johnson in 2309 or Coach Prieto in 2018.

Also, you can come to practice after school on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday in the 3rd gym.

No wrestling experience is needed.

Spirit Day

Tomorrow is Safari Day at the Woods! Wildcats - everyone needs to dress up as we are headed to Katy to Cage those Tigers!!

Volleyball

Your Cy Woods Varsity Volleyball team is rocking the house! They are 21 and 6 for the season and won the Battle of the Brazos Varsity Volleyball Tournament this past weekend. Congratulations to 2 Woods players who were named Most Valuable Libero and Most Valuable Player. We are so proud of these

Theatre

Cy Woods Theatre Company will be putting on two performances this fall: Head Over Heels, the musical and Sense and Sensibility, a classic play. If you are interested in joining theatre arts or would like to learn more about the program, auditions for the fall shows are due this Thursday, August 26th. Get information about auditions from cwtc.weebly.com and make sure to come to the theatre day social and parent meeting this Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm in the auditorium to learn about opportunities for this year and about Comedysportz, our improv team. Summer Scholars Program

Attention Sophomores,

If you were invited to register for the Summer Scholars program, the last day to register is this Thursday, May 27.

On campus students: Please pick up your books today during lunch by the red National Merit Wall in the front entrance.

Connect Students: You may pick up books beginning Wednesday, May 26 at the front desk from 7-4.

Varsity Soccer

Our lady Wildcat varsity soccer team wrapped up their season by honoring the team with an outdoor awards ceremony.  Many accolades were handed out at the event.  All four seniors earned Academic All State Honors, which is quite an achievement.  District awards were handed out, including 1st team all district honors, 2nd team all district honors and honorable mention honors.  The overall district MVP award was presented to a Wildcat!

Wildcats also got 2nd team All greater Houston, 2nd team All State and were selected to play in the Senior All Star game this weekend.  What a fantastic way to close out an incredible career here at the Woods.  We are so proud of all our soccer studs!  We are looking forward to another great year in 2022!  Way to go soccer!

Robotics

Ms. Vickroy would like to congratulate the students for their 1st place finish in the district VEX Robotics tournament.  Great job y'all!

Varsity Softball

Varsity softball beat Willis 5-2 Friday night.  In the first game of the Area round of the playoffs.

They beat Willis 13-5 on Saturday to clinch the series and win the Area Championship.  That puts their record at 31-4 on the season.  They will next take on the Woodlands later this week.

Tennis

If you are interested in joining tennis or trying out for the varsity tennis team, please stop by room 1255.  The deadline to signup is this Friday.  Varsity tennis tryouts are after school on May 24th - 27th at the tennis courts.  You must have a current physical and all necessary paperwork on file with the athletic trainers.
