National Hispanic Heritage Month

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, The Caribbean and Central and South America.  Lets take this month to celebrate all the amazing Hispanic culture.

Mums for Life

Cypress Woods Fall College Fair

The Cypress Woods Fall College Fair will be held on Monday during all lunches.  Browse the tables of over 20 colleges and universities.  It is never too soon to start thinking about what you would like to do after high school.  Explore your options and see what these colleges can offer you!

UH Downtown

A representative from The University of Houston - Downtown will be at all lunches today.  U of H Downtown accepts an average SAT score of 930 and an average ACT score of 18.  Stop by the table in the main hall and check out U of H Downtown today!

Pass/Fail

Attention Juniors and Seniors:

If you would like to take a class as Pass/Fail, you can pick up an application in the Counselors' office.  The deadline to register is September 17, 2018.

Safari Day

Wildcats and Wildcat staff listen up!  This Friday is Safari Day at the Woods.  Go all out!  We will see you Friday at the 6:50 AM Pep Rally.

The University of Houston - Downtown

A representative from The University of Houston - Downtown will be at all lunches on Thursday.  U of H Downtown accepts an average GPA of 2.5 and offers the lowest tuition rate in the city of Houston among 4-year institutions.  Stop by and check out University of Houston - Downtown.

PSAT

Sophomores and Juniors, did you know students who take the PSAT do better on the SAT?  The SAT is used for college admissions, so you want to do your very best.  Why not prepare by taking the PSAT?  Registration is now open.  Check the Cypress Woods' website or stop by counselors' corner for registration details.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.  To help bring awareness, the cheerleaders and cadettes are wearing Gold today.  Join us in bringing awareness by wearing gold throughout the month of September.

Wrestling Tryouts

Wrestling tryouts will start next Tuesday immediately after school in the 3rd gym.  If you would like to tryout make sure you have a current physical on file with the trainers and bring workout clothes.

No experience required.

For students currently in a sport, we will hold separate tryouts for you after your first sport's season has ended around November.
