Cy Woods Orchestra Concert

This Friday night, the award winning Cy Woods High School Orchestra, will take the stage for their first concert of the school year. The orchestra has prepared wonderful music for all to enjoy, so come out and support this great group of students. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and admission is free. We hope to see you there!

Scholarship News

College and Career •Seniors, if you are planning to attend Texas A&M – College Station, The University of North Texas or UT Austin, then you should apply for The Student Housing scholarship. This award covers the cost of “off-campus” housing for an entire year! Applications are available in the Registrar Office. •Admission Counselor from Seton Hall University will be here today. This university uses a “holistic review process” to determine who will be admitted to their school. In other words, admission is NOT limited to just the Top 10%. •Senior girls! The Cypress- Woodlands Junior Forum Scholarship is now available. The primary criteria is “Community Service”, but academics and financial need are also considered. Ladies, this $1,000 award will go a long way to help pay for college! •Seniors, use the long weekend to browse the October Scholarship Bulletin. Mock Election

Are you bummed because you won't be old enough to vote for this year's presidential election? Well, we have the answer for you! We will be having a Mock Election to vote for president and U.S. Representative. All Cy Woods students can participate and will vote later in October in their Social Studies Class... but first, you MUST register to vote. You can register to vote TODAY, during your lunch period. See the VIPs table by the AP's office. It will take only a couple of minutes to fill out the form. So get registered today, because today is the last day to do so!

•Seniors! Are you interested in becoming a licensed hairstylist, barber, or other careers within the beauty industry? Paul Mitchell, the school in Houston, will award (5) scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each to graduating seniors from Cy-Woods! •The Chinese Association of Professionals in Science and Technology, is offering a $1,000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors of Chinese descent. The application deadline is September 26th. •The Coca-Cola Scholars Program, will award (150) scholarships in the amount of $20,000 each, to graduating high school seniors. Ducks Unlimited Varsity Chapter and Club

Ducks unlimited is the world's leader in wetlands and waterfowl conversation. Cypresss Woods High School Talent Show

Hey Wildcats! Do you play an instrument, sing, dance, rap, do slam poetry, or have a talent that you want to show off? Then sign up for our annual Cypress Woods High School Talent Show run by the theatre department. Auditions are this coming Wednesday, September 7th, at 5:30pm in the auditorium; the cast-rehearsals are next Thursday, September 8th from 2:45pm to 5:30p in the auditorium; and the performance will be next Thursday, September 8th, at 7pm in the auditorium. Scan the QR Code and then fill out the form with your phone by all water fountain locations in the school to sign up to audition. Break a leg!

Cy Woods Company Musical Revue Troupe

Hey Wildcats! Come out to see our talented Company Musical Revue Troupe that performs various songs and dances from musicals every month starting this coming Tuesday, September 6, at 7 PM in the auditorium.
