Summer Dual Credit Class at Lone Star College

Students wanting to take a Summer Dual Credit class at Lone Star College need to see the counselors today.  Everything must be complete by Monday, April 20th. The last step in summer registration for Dual Credit is at the Berry Center from 3:00-7:00pm, April 20th.

Attention Seniors, The Exxon Mobil/LNESC Scholarship deadline is Wednesday, April 15th. This organization is offering more than $40,000 in scholarships to a Hispanic Graduating high school senior who is planning to study engineering.

Seniors, are you planning to attend Lone Star College? The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation Schroeder Scholarship is available especially for you. The Father of the Year Scholarship deadline is April 13th. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership, and community service. The amount of this award is $4,000.

Attention Business and Marketing Majors! The Sylvan Landau Scholarship organization is offering a $5,000 scholarship to students who are planning to pursue careers in business. The application deadline is Monday, April 13th.

Attention Criminal Justice Majors! The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives is offering a $3,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who is committed to a career in law or criminal justice.

This organization will award (5) $1,000 scholarships to African American high school seniors that demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. Scholarship News

The 2015 SWAC College Expo is next Wednesday and Thursday at the Toyota  Center. Recruiters and admission counselors from all SWAC member schools will be on-hand to provide admissions eligibility. Graduating seniors interested in attending one of these colleges, are asked to bring copies of their high school transcript and standardized test scores with them to the event. All senior high school students are invited to attend!  More information is available at www.swachoops.org.

Seniors, if  you are applying for scholarships which are due over Spring Break, please remember to submit your transcript request by this Friday. This allows us the time to process and mail your application before the due date.

·       The SMU Lyle School of Engineering Undergraduate Recruitment Office is hosting the Women in Engineering Day Event this Sunday, March 1^st.  This is a fun and casual event for girls considering careers in the field of engineering. Cy Woods Senate/Recycling Drive

Cy Woods Senate will be recycling used or non working electronic devices beginning next week. Our recycling drive, to benefit Action for Apes, will run through mid April and is part of a city-wide effort coordinated by the Houston Zoo.  Any device may be brought in for recycling.  Round up your old broken electronic players, games, and phones to donate for a worthy cause.

Attention Seniors! The Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Scholarship deadline is Feb. 25th. This award is open to graduating Seniors of Cy-Fair ISD! Membership to the credit union is NOT required.

The 2015 SWAC College Expo will be held on March 11th and 12th at The Toyota Center. Recruiters, admission counselors and alumni from all SWAC member schools will be present. Graduating seniors are asked to bring copies of their "unofficial" high school transcript and standardized test scores to be eligible for consideration. This evert is open to all Houston area high school seniors!

Hey Wildcats, next week is going to be the first ever 212 Week!  This will be a Spring Spirit Week, where all classes will be competing against each other for the 212 Spirit stick.  Be on the look out
for events during lunches!  All proceeds go to Cy-Hope, a local non profit organization that benefits students on the Free & Reduced Lunch Program.  Dress up days include:
Monday -  Dress as someone who goes the extra mile, HERO Day.
