Canfield Business Honors Program
Attention Seniors! The Canfield Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin is hosting a virtual information session for prospective applicants today at 3 PM. This session is specifically for Cy Woods students and is a great opportunity to learn more about an incredible program. Students will be able to ask questions, receive essay help and meet current students in the CBHP Program. Be on the lookout for a flyer in Schoology! See you there!

Red Ribbon
Did you know up to 12% of teens meet the criteria of alcohol dependence? Alcohol can be a very dangerous substance and has been proven to increase suicide, homicide and physical violence as well as reduce your awareness and reflexes. It is important to reduce these risks by avoiding consumption of alcohol.

Congratulations to our varsity girls wrestling team placing 2nd at the Big 12 wrestling tournament at Cinco Ranch!
We had one boy place 5th.

Science Olympiad had their first competition of the year this past Saturday. They had three placements!

World Kindness Day
Tomorrow, November 13, is World Kindness Day. Help us celebrate by passing around "kindness clothespins" which you may see around the school today or by paying a compliment to someone new. Remember, Wildcats: even a small act can make a giant impact.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Hey Wildcats!
The Fine Arts department is hosting its first-ever "Fine Arts Drive". Starting November 11th, please bring canned goods and boxed items like peanut butter, canned soup or boxed pasta to give back to those in need. All donations will be given to the Houston Food Bank for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Please bring your canned goods to the choir, theatre or orchestra rooms in the fine arts hallway! There will be collection boxes to drop your donations. Donations will be accepted until Friday, November 19th. Flyers are posted around the school with more details and guidelines on what the Houston Food Bank needs.

Let's give a huge shoutout to our mighty bowling team and their huge win. They swept Cy Lakes 13-0.

In a stunning match last night, your Cy Woods Lady Wildcats took the dub over a tough Tomball Memorial team in 4 games! Give these girls a high five today if you see them because they are BI-DISTRICT CHAMPIONS who are in the hunt for area playoffs against Oak Ridge - details coming soon! We want to especially thank the crowd for coming and supporting our girls - it truly makes a difference and we can't wait to have you come out and be loud against those lame War Eagles this week - LET'S GO WILDCAT VOLLEYBALL!

The Wildcat hockey team had to AWESOME games this weekend!
They took on the Highlanders Friday night in a heated battle. The Cats came out
on top with 7 goals. Sunday Night they took on Ridge Point in a back and forth battle with the
Wildcats once again winning the game!

Computer Science
On Saturday the 30th, the Cypress Woods Computer Science team travelled to Taylor HS in Katy for the 13th annual 7 Lakes CS contest.
Results are as follows:
Advanced Division: 1st and 4th place
Novice Division: 1st place
Cy Woods is the reigning UIL 2021 6A State Champion Computer Science team - 212
