WRAP Fundraiser

WRAP will be selling plush Easter bunnies with candy for $5 each during all lunches. Sales will start monday, March 23rd and run through April 1st (or until we run out). Scholarship News

Attention Seniors…the deadline for the Delta Sigma Theta scholarship is tomorrow. This organization will award (5) $1,000 scholarships to African American high school seniors that demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. Applications are available in the Registrar’s Office.

  Seniors!...you must check out The Houston Asset Management scholarship. This organization is offering a $10,000 scholarship to students who are planning to study the field of Business. Don’t let this one pass you by.  The deadline to apply is March 26.

Attention Senior Men! If you are planning a career in medicine, engineering, political science, or law, then the Spence Reese Scholarship is for you. The deadline to apply is March 27th. Applications are available in the Registrar's Office. Website: http://www.sdyouth.org/scholarships.aspx

Scholarship News

The 2015 SWAC College Expo is next Wednesday and Thursday at the Toyota  Center. Recruiters and admission counselors from all SWAC member schools will be on-hand to provide admissions eligibility. Graduating seniors interested in attending one of these colleges, are asked to bring copies of their high school transcript and standardized test scores with them to the event. All senior high school students are invited to attend!  More information is available at www.swachoops.org.

Seniors, if  you are applying for scholarships which are due over Spring Break, please remember to submit your transcript request by this Friday. This allows us the time to process and mail your application before the due date.

·       The entry deadline for the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay Competition and the Latino History Essay Competition, is March 9^th. ·       The Toyota TEENDRIVE365 Video Challenge is underway. This contest allows high school students to work alone or in a group, to create a 60-90 second original video which demonstrates the importance of safer teen driving.  1^st place prize is $15,000 and an opportunity to work with a Discovery film crew to transform your video into a TV-ready PSA! AP Test Registration

Tomorrow is the last day to register for your AP tests without paying a late fee. After March 4, there will be a late fee of $10 per test. Late registration ends march 27, 2015. See your AP teacher, the Cy Woods website or stop by the counselors' office for more information.
